I’m Sarah, Planting Designer and Founding Director of Discovering Gardens and the Thriving Garden Academy. I’ve been creating beautiful gardens since 2010.
I’ve designed many beautiful gardens, and these days I work in collaboration with an incredible award-winning landscaping company, designing planting schemes for their high-spec projects, and joining forces on my projects as well. I can also work in collaboration with your chosen landscapers. I additionally offer lovely 1-1 planting advice consultations to people across the UK.
I trained in Garden Design at the renowned Capel Manor College in London, and I’ve completed my training in Permaculture Design and Engaging Children in Permaculture, which beautifully supports my passion for growing food and creating sustainable gardens that support our native wildlife.
I’ve taught many beginners and more experienced gardeners about garden and planting design, and I’ve mentored many garden professionals who want to build confidence with their plant knowledge so they can provide a better service to their clients.
